My cintiq is starting to die. Since I use the cintiq to bring you CN:H updates, I thought we'd do a donation drive to replace it.
So, all of you who've been hungry for more CN:H per week, now's your chance! All donations go towards the replacement cost.
Commission money will count towards the drive as well once I can open commissions again.

When roller blinds attack!

Thanks to the new set-up, the studio stays a lot warmer. Which means, I can lift the blinds and let some sun it. Unfortunately, when I tried a bit ago, I ended up taking a roller blind to the noggin. All the window treatments - blinds and curtains - in the house were left by the previous owner and they're not really in the best shape. Today this blind decided that it had enough.

Considering that two more of the blinds are also barely holding on, one of which is over where the cintiq now sits, I think I'm going to take them all down today and remove the housing when we paint this spring/summer.

While poking around to see if I could get the blind back up, I noticed how dusty the curtains were. Ugh! Since I needed to do a load of whites with bleach anyway - the well water tends to discolor our white towels - I decided to take the curtains down and wash those as well. They should be finished in another hour or so.

Hey, what can I say, I live an exciting life at times. For now the excitement includes waiting for the laundry to bing, removing the remaining blinds, and finishing my inking for tonight. So, back to work!

Ungh. I know that feeling.
We've been repairing our rolling shutters about 10 times already. I tell you, if my studies won't work out, I become a handyman...

They never stay up, I swear.

I made some bi-fold wooden shutter sets for my windows.

Well water? Do you also have a septic tank? Chlorine bleach is bad for septic tanks. Tends to kill off the bacteria that makes the tank work.

No worries. We have city sewer, no septic. The house was just never shifted to city water. So, it's all good.
