Finished - 'Green and Gold'

Hey guys! Welcome to Thursday! Thanks for hanging out with me during the stream yesterday evening. Here's the scan of the finished image.

'Green and Gold' | inks, copic markers, glitter pens, white gel pen | 5x7 | SOLD

So much green... I finally got a chance to use colors that I've never used before. Like Malachite for her coat. I've had that maker for a few years and never had a reason to use it. And now I have. Woohoo!

I do need to start stocking up on the refills, though. A number of my markers are running dry. My poor B60 especially. I should also replace some of the nibs too. While using the markers in the sketchbook was fun, it seems there was a lot of clay on the pages. Clay which is now on most of my nibs. Ugh. Oh well, maintenance is just part of the job.

Today is for Monday's CN:H page. The goal is to get the layout, sketch, and lettering done. I'll see if I can't fit some coloring in as well.

Oh, speaking of which, the goal for Issue 14 has been hit as well! Thank you!

Any amount over goes towards the next issue in the line. So, the extra $39 that's currently there will be put towards unlocking Issue 13 in color. At the moment, I've pages one through five of Issue 15 to re-ink and color as well as pages six through eight to color. Pages six through eight will go fairly quickly, I'm hoping to have them finished by the end of the week. Then things may slow down to a colored page per week for a bit. I'll keep you posted about what's being done, so no worries.

For now, I need to finish getting my day started so I can get to work. Thanks guys!

Looks absolutely fantastic Darc, great choice of characters. Sorry I missed the stream.

Looks great, Darc! I'm glad I made it to the party, even if I did have to use a generic id.

I think the pinstripes and the gold trim on the lapels are my favorite details. The charms on the bracelet and collar, and the detail in the background clovers are quite good too. I didn't notice the clover detail in the stream; looks great here.

Just generally nice color choices everywhere, but Ruby's red hair and white fur stand out extra nice against all the greens and gold.

Thanks guys! I love using the colored pens. Most of the ones I have aren't Copic proof, unfortunately. I'm not up for spending the money on the full Copic color multiliners at the moment. Maybe one day. :D
