I've seen some custom made shelves available, but personally think the prices are too high. And the few power tools we have are buried somewhere in the garage, not to be found until spring. Then Matt and I ran across this at Michael's yesterday...

Isn't it neat? It's a 14x14 inch square, about 7 inches deep, that's made by some company called Recollections. I think it's suppose to hold bottles or such. The best part was they were having a sale, so it was half off. I can fit all my markers in there with a little room to spare in case I pick up a few new colors. The nice thing is I was able to divide the colors up a bit more than I could in the mesh bags. I used to have colors all over the place, which led to a lot of hunt-and-peck when working. Now I can look over and easily see where my yellows are without accidentally pulling out a yellow-green.
I just wish I'd picked up another to hold the refills. Knowing Michael's the sale ended yesterday.
I love it! I'm so happy! Yeah, I know, I'm a dork. *laughs*

That looks really good! Just about the perfect depth and I can clearly see the color families grouped together. It should be easily subdivided if you want to by finding small boxes to fit into each section.
I've been thinking of making a holder for my pencils, but that will take a -lot- of hole drilling. ;-)
It worked out really well which is nice. Luckily they were still on sale yesterday, so I was able to pick up one for the refills. Which should help stop me from buying duplicate refill tubes. I found I've a few colors with two tubes. :(
