The bad news is, the camera cut out again, this time after only twenty minutes or so. I didn't even get enough to make a partial video. *sigh* I thought the cutting out was due to the computer going into sleep mode. A few days ago Matt located a program called Caffeine which is supposed to keep the computer "awake". While the program worked wonderfully, apparently the computer going into sleep mode wasn't the problem after all.
Everyone whose video speed-ups I've watched on YouTube have mentioned using a digital camera to record, not a webcam. Maybe that's the issue, that the webcam is just not designed for this type of work. Unfortunately, I'm not willing to spend the money on a digital camera at the moment. I've a few other, more pressing, matters to see to right now. So, what I'm going to do is this... I'll do a bit of research into what others are using. Once I decide on a camera that will fit my needs, I'll know what I'm looking at price-wise. In the meantime, I'll start putting a little money aside each month into a Camera-Kitty (kitty as in canister for money, not meow-meow feline).
In the meantime, I'd like to postpone the idea of Thursday video speed-ups if that's okay with everyone. I'm not sure what we'll do on Thursdays instead, but I'll think of something. I may just have a new Min-Pin or 5x7 image to share, but there will be something.
I'm sorry for putting the videos on the back burner for the time being. I'll start them again once I've all the bugs worked out. Thanks guys!

Sorry to hear that the webcamera appears to be the problem. One camera that you might want to look at is Vixea. I have one (don't recall the model number off hand) and it is pretty easy to use and has great functions. It has a great amount of internal memory and comes with a program to download the video and still shots directly to a desktop computer. I've used mine with a tripod and have had great results.
Only downside to it is that it is sensitve to motion, so if you're using it for a high exposure still shot, tripod use is essential.

You've set yourself a pretty full schedule for every day of the week. I expect most of us won't fault you for not doing a speed-up video every week. :-) I like it, but I learn more and have more fun asking questions during your streams and reading your Tips & Terms posts.

@Alan: Thanks for the camera recommendation! Yeah, the webcam works well for streaming, but keeps cutting out when I try to record anything long-term. I'll give the Vixea a look. Thank you!

Thanks. I enjoy doing the videos, so I'm going to check out some camera options and start saving up. I've a bit set aside for an idea I'd like to do for the blog in a few months. I'll just keep two small kitties running at the same time. :D
@Tyler: Giving Ruby pointy objects is perfectly safe... as long as there's a thick wall between you and her. ;D Thanks. It'll probably be six months or so. There's something else I'm setting money aside for as well. :D
