'Caught in the Act' | inks, copic markers, white pencil, white gel pen | 9x12 | Commission
I'm really happy with how Ruby's jeans turned out. The first color I was using to shade her jeans was coming out thin and streaky, so I ended up rubbing more color in some areas than others. Then I thought I'd try to fix the coloring by making creases and wrinkles.
Using the blue lines for the mirror worked well. I ended up laying a layer of BG11 down over everything first, then laying colors lightly on top of that. It gave everything a nice bluish tinge. A soft layer of white colored pencil on top added the slightly faded look.
As for the lace on Ruby's bra and panties, that was just done freehand with a wine multiliner. It looked too plain otherwise.
Tomorrow is for sketching and inking a few Min-Pins. I'd like to have one ready to go for tomorrow's live draw.

Though I would have bet that her underware looks different (colour and fabric wise). The lace has turned out great no matter what my imagination had in mind!
Now, next part the same scene 15 seconds later XD
(I read your other comic, yes, "getting caught" seems to be something she would plan. Though I would never had guessed Max would dare to take a pic of her ^^)

I should not make comments at 3 am... of course I meant "comment" not "comic" and was talking about the last sketch before the finished version.
The piece is absolutely great, the shading has turned out wonderful not only on her jeans but on Rubys face and hair as well. The details of the underwear are amazing!
Thanks guys! Yeah, Max tends to do things that are not good for his physical well-being. I wonder about that boy sometimes.
