"So, you're still going to MFF, right?"

In all that's been going on I forgot to mention the MFF situation. Matt and I will not be attending Midwest Furfest this year. We haven't bailed on anyone for shits and giggles or because we're lazy. Unfortunately, due to the new job, the relocation costs, and the time crunch involved with the whole selling, buying, and relocating, it's just not feasible. We haven't the time or the finances right now.

Unfortunately, this means our trip out to visit my folks in Iowa is canceled as well. Which, I was really looking forward to. I don't get to see my folks often and I miss them. They say they'll come out to visit us once we get settled into the new house, so hopefully I'll see them this summer.

I apologize to anyone who planned on meeting up with us or feels we let them down by not attending. We're not bad people. We're just working through a busy time right now.

Speaking of busy, we just got a call for another showing today at noon, so I need to go through the house and make sure everything is polished and ready. Always good to have other options in case the current agreement falls through. Thanks guys and sorry again.

Conventions ARE expensive. In fact, that's why my hubby and I haven't gone to any this year due to our own financial tightness. I don't think anyone should blame you - and if they give you a hard time, ignore 'em, those aren't your real supporters. :D

Congrats on having people interested in the house! It's good to know that you guys will get it sold soon and then you won't have to be separated. Woo! :D

Sorry to hear you won't make it but based just on the timing with Matt's new job I am not surprised..
GLAD to hear about the house. People out looking during a storm WHY NOT? people go out surfing during storms

Yeah, Matt's new job starts the Tuesday before MFF. Still, a few readers seem to be annoyed. "You said you were going to be there!" Unfortunately, dealers often have to plan for a con up to six months in advance because the tables sell out so quickly. So much can change in six months.

Depending on the convention the same applies to the attendees. I wouldn't want and try to get a hotel for a number of conventions last minute
