Matt and I were sitting outside, waiting for the rain to start. I still needed to do today's sketchbook, so I tried drawing the old tree on the side of the house. Just a quick, messy sketch. I wanted to finish up before the rain arrived.

Thanks. It's an impressively large one. Has to be over 100 years old. Unfortunately, it's infested with carpenter ants and loses at least one large limb each winter. :(
Humongous old oak tree in the yard behind mine went down last night, at almost -exactly- midnight. (Within two minutes; I didn't think to check the clock immediately.) I need to get camera batteries! Was a huge triple-trunked tree and it looked like someone took a giant ax and split the three sections apart down to the roots.
Damn! That must have been some wind to knock that down. O.O;
