Sketchbook - Brush and nib inking

Here's the practice for today, inking. I started out with a nib, but eventually switched to a brush. The nib seems to take a lot longer. Unfortunately, the paper wrinkled when I taped it into the sketchbook. Ick.

I'm trying to spend around an hour or so on these practice pieces which is why I didn't do more of the scene.

Here's the blue-lined artboard from The Art Of Comic-Book Inking that I used as a guide. The original work was drawn by John Buscema.

Okay, back to work. I've still today's sketchbook to do.

Now that's funny! Unintentional though it is. :-)

With the lady's face missing from your sketch, it looks like smiling guy at lower right is tied down as the table's forward support member! Which works interestingly well with the barbarian's expresion. :-)
