It's application season at SpiderForest

Hey guys! Do you remember that rotating banner at the top of the CN:H pages for a while? The one with the various comics on it? That was for SpiderForest, a webcomic collective.

While I'm not currently a member - my decision, not theirs - due to the confusion with the Supporters area closing, me opening up commissions, and CN:H's future being a little dicey for a bit, I still pop my head in now and then. I'm like the crazy aunt who lives in the attic and shouts odd phrases now and then.

So, why am I mentioning this? Because July is their biannual new members drive. From July 1st until midnight on July 24th, SpiderForest is accepting applications for new members. What do you need to apply? You need a webcomic on an actual site - no deviantArt or similar galleries, have at least fifteen pages of your comic available online, be currently updating your comic at least once a week, and intend to continue to update your comic. That's it!

Okay, so what do you get by being a member? Members gain access to the forum where they can interact with other SF creators. Their banner is also added to the rotating header which appears on every SpiderForest comic - NOTE: more mature comics may not appear on all sites due to their rating. SpiderForest also offers hosting to members if needed.

Interested in applying? Stop by the applications page for all the information and the proper application format. And yes, follow the application format. Don't cut corners. All applicants will be reviewed by current SF members and applicants who have been accepted will be notified in early August.

Good luck!
