Where do silicone hydrogels go?

In the eyes, apparently.

I'm trying contact lenses again, just picked the trial pair up yesterday.

So far there's no pain with them, which is a nice change from the last time. The optometrist thought we'd forgo the toric lens for astigmatism and try a regular lens in my left eye instead. She warned, though, that this may make things a bit blurry. While this is true, it's barely noticeable. At a distance. Close-up, everything is a little fuzzy. But, that happens with my glasses too.

Which, leads to a bit of a problem. I need to wear these slightly longer each day during this trial week. But, I can't wear them while drawing. (I can't wear my glasses while drawing either.) So, I'll be juggling drawing time with contact time. At least for the next week.

It's amazing to be able to see at a distance without a pair of glasses perched on my nose. I've worn glasses since sixth grade. This is so cool!

Oh did you get some of those really cool contacts that change what your whole eye looks like? Did you turn yourself into a winter fey? In all seriousness, I'm really interested in the cover art for the upcoming chapters.

Nah, just the plain old boring ones. :D I keep forgetting to put them in since I can't wear them while drawing.

I can't wait to get back to work on the comic. I need to finish the remaining commissions up first. Then I'll be taking only one commission a week. It sucks because I could use the money, but I need comic time too. I'm a little too slow drawing-wise to do both. :P
