Issue 14, page 24

You know, it just occurred to me that despite calling these clean sketches, they're not very clean, are they? If I was handing these over to an inker, they'd have to be a lot cleaner and precise. But, since I'm the inker, well, anything goes.

I used to do much tighter sketches, but I realized that I was just creating more work for myself. If I ever go back to traditional inking, I'll need to do tighter sketches again. It's much easier to correct inking mistakes digitally.

Whatever works. Especially given the nature of a webcomic. I used to outline a picture with pen, THEN scan it and THEN re-line it 9 times out of 10.
Now I just leave it at pencil stages and re-ink it digitally. Cuts a whole extra stage out which, given how long I still take on pics, is a good thing =P

Besides, you can't argue with the results ^^ CN:H's finals look incredibly slick, so you're doing something right!

Oh I know. There's so much work involved in doing a webcomic. But we love it so it's worth it. :D We could be playing video games or running around and causing havoc instead. I live in a dull town. It needs some havoc.

Thanks. *blush*
